How can we help?

Do doctors validate the results? Is the the tool trustworthy?

Read what physicians have said about Inciteful Med

Inciteful Med is not a substitute for a doctor. It’s a knowledge tool that finds and summarizes relevant medical research based on your records or questions. Individual reports are not reviewed by a doctor before being shown to you.

That said, accuracy and trust are critical to us.

When building Inciteful Med, we initially explored offering it to providers and tested the tool with nearly 100 physicians and specialists. We specifically asked them to “break it” by throwing rare or complex cases at the system. Across all tests, we found only one instance of inaccuracy (a misreferenced citation between a shoulder and knee study).

Interestingly, in some cases, the tool caught errors in what doctors had input, flagging inconsistencies between their assumptions and the actual case data. On review, the tool’s findings were accurate, it was the data entered that was off.

Here’s what doctors have to say:

“This solves a critical gap in care by providing access to the latest research at the point of care. It has the opportunity to replace outdate heuristics with evidence-based decision-making.” - Chief Medical Officer, University of Chicago, Top 20 cancer care hospital in US

”This is akin to expert medical opinion. One in 100 doctors could give me such a thorough of a result” - Primary Care Physician

“This is like Open Evidence, but made for patients. It’s incredible.” - physician and health coach

“Inciteful Med has the potential to close the knowledge gap for practicing physician researchers like me and for many other doctors who do not have the time to dedicate to their continuing medical education; resulting in better diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for patients.” - Dermatopathology fellow

“I see this being helpful in streamlining workups, preventing unnecessary referrals to specialists and reducing the risk of missing something critical.” - Primary Care Physician

We designed Inciteful Med to help both patients and providers uncover research that might otherwise be missed and to support better-informed, more collaborative conversations about care.
